Baikal Discovery Trip 09.-16.07.2018

The Baikal Discovery Trip takes us to one of the most important landmarks in Siberia. We will visit Moscow, Irkutsk and the island of Olkhon. Khuzhir – the village where we will be staying on Olkhon island, offers joy of discovery for every taste. We will tour the North part of the island in UAZ cars, eat ukha and go to sauna. We will also be spending a day on the lake – visit the island of Ogoy and smell the Siberian taiga. At the end of the trip we will get acquainted with Irkutsk and Siberian wooden architecture. NB! There are no mosquitos by Lake Baikal.

Itinerary: M 09.07. - We will meet up at 09:30 in Tallinn airport by the bas relief of Lennart Meri and fly to Lake Baikal via Moscow. Tu 10.07. – Arrival in Irkutsk at 04:00 in the morning. We will continue our trip to the island of Olkhon. Sauna night. W 11.07. – Recreational time to explore village life. Th 12.07. – We will be discovering picturesque sites on the northern part of the island with UAZ cars. F 13.07. – Day trip by boat on Maloe More, visiting the island of Ogoy, a glance at the Siberian taiga. Campfire by the lake. S 14.07. – Trip to Irkutsk. S 15.07. – Irkutsk city tour, visit to the  Taltsy open-air museum. Night at a hotel in Irkutsk. M 16.07. – We will fly to Tallinn via Moscow (09:25-19:50). End of trip.
